Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Kuy Nihongo ("Service", "we"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the Service.

Kuy Nihongo is a Japanese-learning platform covering hiragana, katakana, kanji, grammar, and JLPT (N5–N1) mock exams, using spaced repetition to support your learning.

Some material is available without an account, but features like progress tracking, review cards, daily streaks, and personal settings require a registered account.

• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Information you provide when registering (e.g. email) must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, make sure you have a parent's/guardian's permission.
• You may sign up or log in with email & password, or with a Google account — using Google is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.
• We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

While using the Service, you agree not to:

• Misuse, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service;
• Share your account with others, or use automated scripts/bots to manipulate progress, streaks, or the review system;
• Upload content that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful to other users;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or breach the security of the Service.

Learning material, text, illustrations, the Kitsu mascot, logos, and the Kuy Nihongo interface are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights owned by us or our licensors.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service solely for your own personal learning — not for commercial purposes, redistribution, or compilation into another product.

Your learning progress (review cards, streaks, levels) is stored so you can continue studying across devices. We try to keep material accurate, but we don't guarantee content or JLPT-readiness estimates are 100% accurate — treat them as a study aid, not a guarantee of exam success.

Kuy Nihongo is continuously evolving. We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features (including beta/experimental ones) at any time. Where practical, we'll notify you of changes that have a significant impact.

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time via the Settings page, or by contacting us. We may also disable or remove accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for a very long time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service, and the "effective date" below will be updated. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
